With the high transmission of Covid-19 in Erie County, mask guidelines issued by the Department of Health for visitors and residents are still in effect. Thank you for complying with these guidelines to help keep yourself, residents, and our staff healthy.
- Masks (covering nose and mouth) are required to be worn per DOH guidelines whenever entering the facility and during indoor and outdoor visits.
- Regardless of resident and visitor vaccination status, masks must be worn by both resident and visitor(s) if the nursing home’s county Covid-19 level of transmission is substantial to high.
- If a resident is fully vaccinated, they can choose to have close contact (such as a hug) with visitor(s) despite the visitor’s vaccination status. The resident and visitor(s) must be alone in the resident room or designated visitation room, or outside on the facility grounds and must be socially distanced from others. Both resident and visitor(s) must be wearing a well-fitting face mask and performing hand-hygiene before and after physical contact.
- If the resident is unvaccinated and despite the vaccination status of visitor(s) both parties must wear a well- fitting mask (covering nose and mouth) at all times during the visit and must be socially distanced at all times and are not allowed to have physical contact. Visits must be conducted in resident’s room or designated visitation room, or outside on the facility grounds.
