Dear Rosa Coplon Residents, Family Members and Responsible Parties,
Many residents welcomed the new month by engaging in a variety of activities, such as Black History Month trivia, word games, Scattergories, and getting creative with Valentine's Day crafts. Many have enjoyed the window and virtual visits with loved ones, and were thrilled to receive floral arrangements ahead of Valentine's Day, courtesy of our partnership with Michael's Floral Design.
Inpatient Therapy Services
Did you know that Rosa Coplon Living Center has an inpatient therapy rehabilitation center? Pictured below is our awesome team who provides physical, speech and occupational therapy services. Whether for therapy after a recent hip, knee or back surgery; recovery from a fall; help dealing with a medical condition; or healing from a work-related injury, our short-term inpatient therapy experience helps put people on the path to recovery

If you or someone you know could benefit from these services contact Leah Samsel, Director of Therapy, at [email protected].

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

CVS Health was on site this week administering the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to staff and Rosa Coplon residents. We want to thank you for your patience and encouragement throughout this process.
Ongoing Safety Precautions

We continue to adhere to the following safety precautions to protect and care for residents and staff on campus.

  • Per Department of Health (DOH) recommendations, please do not take residents out of Rosa Coplon except for medically necessary appointments.
  • Care for residents with COVID-19 is provided within one unit to prevent the potential spread. We continue to work closely with the DOH to follow the latest recommendations and requirements.
  • Our facility uses a comprehensive, science-based 7-step disinfection program. We are extremely lucky to have a pulsed UV disinfection system proven to eliminate pathogens rom surfaces in seconds. This technology is also used in many hospitals.
  • To ensure everyone’s safety, we continue to follow the DOH requirements in utilizing personal protective equipment such as face masks, eye protection, gowns, and gloves.
Visitation

We currently have seven employees who have tested positive for COVID-19. Per DOH guidelines, restricted in-person visitation is tentatively scheduled to resume Feb. 17, pending we have no new cases of COVID-19 for 14 consecutive days, and pending there are no changes in DOH regulations regarding visitation.

Would you like to schedule a window visit or Skype call? Contact Julie Smith at [email protected].
