Dear Rosa Coplon Residents, Family Members, and Responsible Parties,

We have two new positive employee cases of COVID-19 in Rosa Coplon Living Center. Based on regulations from the Department of Health (DOH), when a new case is identified in a resident or staff member, we must immediately begin COVID-19 testing and suspend all in-person visitation.

Per the DOH:

  • If the first round of outbreak testing reveals no additional COVID-19 cases, then visitation can resume for residents in areas/units with no COVID-19 cases. However, visitation on the affected unit must be temporarily suspended until the facility meets the DOH criteria to discontinue COVID-19 testing.

  • If COVID-19 testing reveals one or more additional cases in other areas/units (e.g., new cases in two or more units), then we must temporarily suspend visitation for all residents (vaccinated and unvaccinated), until the facility meets the DOH criteria to discontinue COVID-19 testing. Testing can be discontinued once the facility shows zero positive results of COVID-19.

Effective immediately, in-person visitation is temporarily suspended. Once the outbreak testing is complete, we will send a follow-up email with details on what you can expect regarding visitation. In the interim, you are welcome to schedule a virtual visit by contacting Julie Smith at jsmith@weinbergcampus.org.

Our team continues to be diligent in infection prevention measures and we thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally should you have any questions or concerns.
