Pumeza Matshikiza Join Prague Summer Nights
Iconic singerRosalind Plowright, OBE will return for the fifth annual Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival. A veteran of the world's leading opera houses who's mastered high-profile roles like Medée, Alceste and Norma, Plowright will work with vocalists on dramatic interpretation and audition techniques.
Melissa Wegnerjoined the artistic staff of the Metropolitan Opera in 2011. Currently, she serves as executive director of the Met Opera's National Council Auditions, auditioning hundreds of student singers each season. Wegner will offer participants expert instruction on career development during her first summer as a PSN clinician.

An exclusive Decca Classics recording artist, Matshikiza will deliver performance masterclasses during her debut at #PSN19.
Classical Movements' Prague Summer Nights Festival is also pleased to announce that our very own Catherine Clarke Nardolillo, PSN's Head of Voice Area since 2015, was recently named the brand-new director of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions for the district of Kentucky. Meet the Judges for the 2019 PSN Voice Competition
Building upon the success of last season, once again, PSN will host the Prague Summer Nights Voice Competition.Featuring a preliminary round at Divadlo Oskara Nedbala Tábor in the heart of Bohemia—adjudicated by PSN's esteemed international faculty—the final round of the 2019 Prague Summer Nights Voice Competition will be held inside old Prague's grand Kaiserštejnsky Palace.
Judges for this final round of the 2019 PSN Voice Competition include revered British mezzo Rosalind Plowright and MONC executive director Melissa Wegner, as well as Dr. Jelena Nosková, principal operatic vocal coach at the Czech National Theater since 1992.
Major Roles Still Casting for Baritones & Basses
#PSN19 is still recruiting for Leporello and Count Almaviva in our double-cast, fully-staged with orchestra productions of Mozart's Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Figaro at the beautifully restored Estates Theatre. The only theater left standing where Mozart conducted, Mozart, himself, led the premiere of Don Giovanni in this historic house. Receive expert training, compete in the second annual PSN Voice Competition, perform scenes from Czech operas by Dvořák, Smetana and Janáček, collaborate on new music programs and sing cabaret at one of Prague's most lively jazz clubs.
