Restaurant News

The Fat Cat did finally open this past Saturday.  It was definitely worth the wait. I had breakfast there on Sunday. The first thing I look for in a breakfast restaurant is the coffee.  It needs to be strong and not bitter.  Laura Peralta did her homework and found a great coffee. She brings it in from the states.  It was not just an afterthought, as it is in other places around town.

I had the blueberry pancakes and my friend had the cream cheese and pecan crepe.  We both loved what we ordered.  The pancakes were light and airy and not only had blueberries inside the pancakes, but also some extra on the side.  The crepe was so rich with the cream cheese filling.  We are planning on going back soon and trying the omelets  I am including a picture of their menu to give you an idea of what you can get here for breakfast.

They are located just across the street from the
Mongolian Grill and Ajenjo.  They will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 until 2.

More restaurant news.....
Sokuna has a new menu.  I tried the barbecued short ribs and loved them....... For this month Ajenjo will have the following chef´s specials: Provencal escargot wonton taquitos, Beef burguignon and their scrumptious bread pudding w/ice cream...... Sancho's has reopened after some renovations of their space.  Lots of comfort foods here. I love their pastrami sandwich on rye bread.....Mardi's has started stocking a very delicious carrot cake with just the right cream cheese icing....Moncy & Wally's Place has started to have a buffet on Wednesday afternoons from 12 to 5.  Included on the buffet will be: eggplant, chicken stew, koobedah kabob, rice, salad and vegetable soup.   The buffet will be $11.

Have a sweet week,

Sandy
