October 2022 Officer of the Month Announced
In the early morning of September 3, 2022, officers, acting on instinct, prevented a life-threatening situation for an unresponsive man in a burning vehicle.

They moved to remove the driver when they noticed multiple firearms and ammunition. As rounds began to pop in response to the car's flames, the seven officers successfully broke through the sunroof and saved the passenger.

This was a team effort where delay in action could have led to a different outcome. We are proud to honor these seven officers as Octobers’ Officers of the Month for 2022.

2022: A Year of Podcasting at the National Law Enforcement Museum
As the year comes to a close, many of us will begin looking back on 2022 to reflect on what we have accomplished as prepare for the year ahead. One aspect of our work at the National Law Enforcement Museum that is particularly exciting is our new podcast network Precinct 444. When the network launched in September of this year, planning had been under way since 2021. As the concept began to take shape across the year our team worked on the identity of the network and discussed what we could create from a perspective that was unique within the law enforcement and museum fields. What emerged was a selection of programs that showcased the depth of law enforcement history and contemporary issues.
