Keep that Dragon Spirit Up!

Pump, pump, pump it up! Pump that Dragon spirit up! Keep, keep, keep it up! Keep that Dragon spirit up!
The ASMS Physical Education Department is proud to have continued “keeping that Dragon spirit up,” despite the challenges involved with the COVID-19 pandemic! We have offered our specialized physical education classes, intramural sports, and varsity athletics. I’d like to provide a few highlights from each term.
Fall: Our cross-country team was thrilled to return to competitive meets. The team completed 5 challenging meets this season! Cross country runners raved about their team camaraderie and post run chocolate milk! We had the opportunity to continue intramural volleyball this school year. Our intramural volleyball season consisted of 6 weeks of matches, concluding with Einstein Hall as the winners!
Winter: Varsity basketball returned this season. The boys’ team competed in 9 games, and their skills grew tremendously over the season. The cheerleading team helped bring excitement to our campus community by sponsoring pep rallies and motivating through chants.
Special Projects: The PE Department is focusing on community service for this year’s Special Projects Week. Coach Brouillet will be leading Habitat for Humanity while Coach Jackson plans to sponsor A Week of Service partnering with 3 community organizations.
Spring: We look forward to finishing the last term of the school year with varsity tennis, intramural soccer, and evening archery.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! Stay safe and healthy! Go Dragons!
