As our beautiful campus springs back to life and Fall semester kicks into gear, we are especially thrilled to welcome the Lehigh Engineering community back home, a new university president to our campus, and the Class of 2025 to their alma mater.

Although the threat of COVID-19 is not yet fully behind us, we are confident that existing safety measures will allow an enthusiastic return to teaching, learning, and living at Lehigh. Our community weathered adversity during a year that brought “remote learning,” “social distancing,” and “Zoombombing” into the educational lexicon. preLUsion 2021: Building bonds through shared experiences
The Lehigh Women Engineers preLUsion pre-orientation experience returned to an in-person format this year. More than 20 first-years participated in hands-on activities—led by student mentors—that were designed to help them make friends, learn their way around campus, and gain exposure to various opportunities in engineering. New study to examine college tenure, promotion process
CEE professor and ADVANCE Center faculty director Kristen Jellison is among the Lehigh collaborators on a three-year, multi-institutional project, funded by the NSF, that seeks to shed new light on the role of research productivity and extraneous factors in determining who receives coveted tenure positions in academic STEM careers.
