Dear League Presidents and League Delegates:
As your respective leagues/clubs prepare for the Spring 2020 season, please allow this correspondence to serve as a reminder of MSYSA Rule 3.5 (

with respect to roster limits and formats of play (Please see below).
- U5 teams should be playing a 3v3 format (with No GK). Maximum roster size is 6.
- U6 teams should be playing a 4v4 format (with No GK). Maximum roster size is 6.
- U7 and U8 teams should playing a 4v4 format (with No GK). Maximum roster size is 6.
- U9 and U10 teams should be playing a 7v7 format (6v6 with GK). Maximum roster size is 12.
- U11 and U12 teams should be playing a 9v9 format (8v8 with GK). Maximum roster size is 16.
- U13 through U19 teams should be playing an 11v11 format (10v10 with GK). Maximum roster size is 22, but the maximum game roster size is 18.

As of August 1, 2019, all MSYSA affiliated and sanctioned tournaments were instructed to follow the roster limits and formats of play as outlined above as well.
