Best Practices for Saving Your Work
As mentioned in a previous data tip, the best place to save your computer files is to a network drive. The network drives never run out of space, are always backed up, and loading them up won’t slow your computer processes.
-
Data on the U: drive is visible only to you.
-
Data on the M: drive for City Hall, Fire, Transportation, E/PW and Rec&Parks and the P: drive for Police is visible to everyone on your team.
-
Data on the I: drive is visible to all City of Roswell employees and is intended for the temporary storage of files that need to be shared between departments.
Keep in mind, your computer files are government records and the retention requirements depend on the type of document. More detailed information about retention policy is coming soon. In the meantime your files will be safely saved, and even if you delete your files, they can be restored when you save them to a network drive.

Weight Watchers
Are you interested in joining the City’s WW Program??
Cost offering: Digital + Workshops is $20.00 month.
Employees who attend at least 10 virtual meetings per calendar quarter (one per week) may be eligible for a reimbursement of their portion paid for the WW subscription. We do require you attend one of the meetings listed below to count towards the attendance for the City, but you are welcome to attend any other meetings as you feel the need to do so.
Tuesdays at 12:00 with Amie M
Thursdays at 7:30 with Amy L
Thursdays at 9:30 with Kelli S
When you have met the 10 meetings in a calendar quarter, I will send you the reimbursement form to complete and process it with Finance. Each week I will send an email to all WW participants to verify that I saw them on one of the calls above. One thing that really helps me is that when you are on the Zoom call, please place COR after your name. This makes it easier for me to find you and give you credit for attending the virtual meeting.
Please contact Hydee Weis for registration information.
