Rotarians for Mental Health has donated $2100 to Community Reach Center for the purchase of smart phones for clients lacking the necessary technology to engage in telehealth services via video or phone.
Rotary International provided grants totaling $4 million to districts. Through District 5450,
Rotarians for Mental Health
received $20,000 and created Rotary Connects – a new program providing cell phones to low-income clients that would enable them to connect with therapists and prescribers at nine Colorado mental health centers.
Clay Cunningham, COO of Community Reach Center and past-president of the Northglenn-Thornton Rotary Club, stated, “We are extremely grateful for the generous support from Rotary District 5450 and Rotarians for Mental Health. Since early March, telehealth technology has enabled thousands of Community Reach Center clients to remain engaged in treatment, and hundreds of new clients to begin services. Rotarians for Mental Health is an outstanding example of a successful public-private partnership that is directly benefitting Colorado communities.”
