Joseph Shrock, Loudonville based entrepreneur, offered philosophical comments on his work in a program for the Loudonville Rotary Club last Thursday, Oct. 9.

Shrock, whose businesses include Shrock Construction, Rainbow Cleaning, and the new Mohican Country Market, said a guiding principal in his life and work is hat success follows serving others, not serving ones-self. "It also helps to trust, and believe in people," he told Rotarians. Project
Rotary Projects Chair Ben Blubaugh reported the club earned $3,400 in profits from its Swiss cheese and Trail bologna project at the Malabar Farm Heritage Days Sept. 27-28. Money will be used for Rotary sponsored community projects.

A very unusual occurrence took place Thursday. For the third straight week a member drew the Queen of Hearts in the weekly Queen drawing, a fund raiser for the club's Strive project. Three weeks ago Sharon Blubaugh drew the queen and won $300. The following week  Ken Gosche drew it and won a much depleted $6, and Thursday Stan Young drew it and won $11. Members wondered what the odds were of the queen being drawn three weeks in a row.

Rotarians will continue an ongoing project, presenting dictionaries to each third grader in the L-P Schools. This is the 14th year for this project.

President Trevallynn Williams reported that the club's Strive group participated in the team building course at Nuhop Monday, Oct. 6.
