Dr. Dorothy M. Peteet is a Senior Research Scientist at NASA/Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Adjunct Professor, Columbia University. She directs the Paleoecology Division of the New Core Lab at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia and in collaboration with GISS climate modelers and LDEO geochemists is studying the Late Pleistocene and Holocene archives of lakes and wetlands (peatlands, salt marshes, tidal freshwater marshes, bogs, fens).

Meet Community Award Honoree
Scott Reddin
Scott Reddin believes in helping others and lives up to the Rotarian motto of "Service Above Self".

Scott has served as a councilman for nine years in Englewood, with two of them as Council President. At age 24 he was elected to the Board of Education in Englewood Cliffs. He has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Center for Food Action. He was President of END DWI. During his term, END DWI was directly responsible for the passing of a law that lowered the blood alcohol limit to .08, which has saved lives. He and a fellow graduate of Dwight Morrow High School started an alumni organization which has donated tens of thousands of dollars to his alma mater for educational purposes. He currently serves as Chairman of the Englewood Environmental Commission and Chair of the Bergen County Senior Services Advisory Committee and is a Past President of the Englewood Rotary and Chair of the Bergen County Human Services Committee. He has served as Big Brother for many years. He has donated his disc jockey services over 300 times. He has served on the Board of Directors at Flat Rock Brook, West Side Infant Program and Bergen Family Center for more than 20 years. Scott has earned many awards and honors for his volunteer service.

Scott is married to Hedy and has a daughter, Nadia. He lives with his family in Englewood.
