The Four- Way Test

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

February 24: Meet Salem's New Police Chief

On October 30, 2020, the City of Salem named Trevor Womack as Salem's new Police Chief. Chief Womack moved from Stockton, California and began serving the residents of Salem on December 7, 2020. Rotary will get the chance to be among the first to meet Chief Womack and hear about his policing philosophies that are guiding his plan for the future of the Department.

Program Chair:  Cyndi Leinassar
Greeting fellow Rotarians,

I hope this note finds you healthy and well, with power, your broken branches (at least nearly) cleared away! Like many of you, while the cleanup work was hard, it was heartwarming how neighbors rallied to help each other.

Past President Dawn will be facilitating our meeting this week in my absence. Thank you Dawn!

We have a packed meeting this week!
  • When you join early, Jessica will place you in a chat room-your virtual lunch table-to visit with fellow Rotarians
  • South Salem High School winner, Sophia Stavrianeas will join us
  • Induction of our newest member, Tom Hoffert, CEO of Salem Chamber
  • If you haven't had a chance to meet our new Salem PD Chief Womack, he'll be with us Wednesday
The latest from Salem Health & Cyndi Leinassar:
Salem Health has received first doses of Pfizer vaccine and will begin vaccinating seniors at the fairgrounds this week. In preparing for the needs of our elderly population, Salem Health has worked to make scheduling easy and accessible with a new online process. In addition, Salem Health has established a fast track line for individuals with mobility issues, and a separate, dedicated intake and mini-clinic for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and other special needs. As of 2/18/2021
  • First doses given - 40,086
  • Second doses given - 28,366
  • Total does given - 68,452
