Hope Builders bridges the gap between young adults in need of mentorship and employers in need of skilled workers. A new way forward begins.
Hope Builders is a local nonprofit that has been in the community for 30 years. Their mission is to empower Orange County’s young adults with mentorship, life skills and job skills training that meets the needs of employers through job training for disadvantaged young adults in the medical and construction fields. Hope Builders
Monthly we conduct Virtual Mock Interviews where volunteers help young adults practice their interviewing skills and build confidence in their job search. Mock interviews allow volunteers to help trainees prepare for their future careers. By participating, volunteers provide invaluable feedback and support that can significantly enhance their interview skills and career readiness. On average we need approximately 25 volunteers per session. We are currently recruiting for the following dates for Virtual Mock Interviews:
Thursday, April 17th ( Child Development Training) from 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm PST
Location: Zoom
Virtual mock interviews are conducted over Zoom. We begin with Hope Builders staff conducting a brief orientation with volunteers. Volunteers are then assigned to individual breakout rooms with trainees for mock interviews. Each interview lasts 20 minutes and volunteers will interview 3 trainees. (Sample questions are provided) We kindly ask that we receive RSVP's 1 week prior to each session.
