"Taking a risk - you've got to put yourself out on the line a little bit. Don't be scared. The more you do it, the more comfortable you'll feel and the more you'll love it".
- Margaret Wente, Writer at The Globe and Mail
The quote above is from our recent event: A Quota for Quoting: Addressing the Absence of Women Sources in the Media. In addition to Wente's inspiring words about taking risks in the media, this issue also looks at taking career risks. Most notably, our Member Spotlight interviewee, Melanie Philip, talks about the risks and rewards of changing business lines mid-career.

Coffee's Always on at Rotman's Morning Program
Excerpt from May 6 Globe and Mail Article, "Mornings can be rough. Between fighting a losing battle with the snooze button, getting the kids ready for school and trying to rediscover your lust for life in the bottom of a coffee cup, just getting to work on time can be considered a personal victory.
But most of us don't attend Rotman School of Management's morning MBA program. While regular joes are trying to scarf down Corn Flakes before they turn soggy, a group of hardy souls is busy soaking up two hours of intensive business education before they even get to the office for their day jobs."
