Through the California Jobs First (CJF) initiative, OCBC is awarding $4.6 million to initiate local projects that support job creation, workforce development, and programs advancing community resilience. Since 2023, OCBC has served as the Regional Convener in Orange County for CJF. As part of that work, OCBC brought together a collaborative of Orange County stakeholders representing businesses from a variety of industries, labor associations, California Native American Tribes, government agencies, academia, and others to award these funds. These dollars are meant to serve as catalytic funding for local projects so they can become implementation ready. OCBC collaborated with this consortium of partners in deciding which proposals were awarded.
These awardees reflect the spirit, strength, and diversity that make Orange County exceptional. These are visionary organizations working on the ground to solve real challenges and create real opportunity. OCBC and the OC Jobs First Collaborative are proud to stand alongside them as they develop the next generation of workers, support underserved communities, and help move our economy forward.
