Metra Closing Northbound Lanes of Route 45 at 137 Underpass
|
|
UPDATE: Replacement of Metra Bridge Retaining Wall (U.S. 45 and IL 137)
Metra
will be closing the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 45 to all traffic at the Metra/IL Route 137 underpass, just north of Peterson Road beginning Thursday, Oct. 18. It’s expected to last four to eight weeks. The road closure is needed to allow Metra to reconstruct a failed retaining wall that collapsed over Labor Day weekend along the east side of U.S. Route 45. A full closure of both northbound lanes is now necessary to reconstruct the wall.
Detour information: Northbound traffic will follow Peterson Road to IL Route 83 to IL Route 120. Be sure to check
www.lakecountypassage.com
for the latest traffic information to help with your travel decisions during this closure period.
