Construction Update
U.S. Route 7, Charlotte-South Burlington

TRAFFIC IMPACT:



One-way alternating traffic and lane closures will be in effect during nighttime operations 9/17-9/21/23. Delays may occur.

Nighttime operations are typically Sunday night through Thursday night, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.



CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:


This Week:


Crews resumed placement of durable pavement markings in South Burlington and Shelburne. This consisted of the green bike lane, cross-walks, stop bars, and various letters and symbols. Removal of temporary line striping targets (LSTs) continued.

Rainy weather hampered efforts for two nights, but good progress was made regardless.


Next Week:


Work will continue on durable pavement marking efforts along Shelburne Road between South Burlington and Shelburne. Crews will also finish up the paving of any remaining driveway aprons as weather permits.

Durable pavement marking efforts continue along Shelburne Road.

LOCATION: This project begins on U.S. Route 7 in Charlotte from the vicinity of Bown Lane (south of Ferry Road) and continues northerly for 10.2 miles to the intersection with Swift Street in South Burlington.


Some miscellaneous work remains on the 2022 project area along U.S. Route 7 in Charlotte (Bown Lane) to the Bostwick Road/Marsett Road intersection in Shelburne.


The project area during the 2023 construction season includes U.S. Route 7 from the Bostwick Road/Marsett Road intersection in Shelburne to Swift Street in South Burlington.


PROJECTED COMPLETION: Fall 2023
