TRAFFIC IMPACT:

Motorists can expect lane closures in the vicinity of active construction operations along Route 7 throughout the week of 9/18 during nighttime work hours. Work next week will be performed on the portion of the project south of Marsett Road/Bostwick Road.

Traffic control personnel will be onsite helping to direct the flow of traffic. Please expect delays.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

Paving of the final (or wearing) course of asphalt is scheduled to begin on Monday night, 9/19. Currently, it is expected that paving will begin near the Marsett Road/Bostwick Road intersection and proceed south throughout the week. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect in the vicinity of paving operations. Delays will occur, particularly in the evening hours. Motorists are encouraged to add extra time to their travel plans.

Paving is dependent on weather and surface conditions. Adverse weather will alter the paving schedule.

Work on this contract will be performed at night. Typical nighttime work hours are 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday night. It should be noted, however, that work may be performed at times on Friday nights.

Residents and business owners should anticipate increased noise levels during construction activities. The construction area will also have increased lighting overnight in order to ensure the safety of the crew. The contractor will take necessary measures to ensure noise levels remain within approved decibel levels.
