Garbage at Bayley Beach
With more activity at Bayley comes more garbage. There are garbage cans and recycling bins spread out all over for easy use. If a can is full, please find another one and alert a worker so we can empty it. Please avoid bringing glass beer bottles to the beach, there are concrete walkways that don't get along with glass. Thank you for keeping the beach clean, especially after a Sunday concert.

Norwalk Planning and Zoning Zoom Call - July 29th
The City of Norwalk, with assistance from consultant Town Planning & Urban Design Collaborative (TPUDC), has kicked off a new project: “Norwalk Building Zone Regulations Update”. The goal of this effort is to update and simplify the existing Building Zone Regulations (also referred to as the “zoning regulations” or “regulations”).

In 2019, the City completed the Norwalk Citywide Plan 2019-2029 Plan of Conservation and Development, which is the guidance document for future growth and development within the City. One of the major recommendations within the plan is the need to update the zoning regulations.

The zoning regulations have not seen a complete overhaul in over thirty (30) years! This has resulted in piecemeal changes and has led to structural deficiencies and inconsistencies throughout the document. The final result of this overhaul will be a document that is understandable and implementable, and that helps the community achieve the goals set forth in the Citywide Plan.

The zoning regulations provide the rules regarding how land can be used within the City. As we look to update those regulations, we want to engage with you in a conversation about the future of Norwalk.

Don’t know much about zoning? That’s ok! Zoning affects the entire community, and through this process, we’ll help you understand why. All of the events held as part of this process are open to the public, and are a great way to learn more AND make sure your voice is heard!

To participate in the kick-off Zoom call on July 29th at 6:00-7:30 PM go to www.norwalkzone.com
