Rowland Gives Back to Our Community
As we enter this holiday season, compassion for others and acts of goodwill enhance our community of caring. For more than 45 years, Rowland Unified School District has worked together with our community groups in a Holiday Basket Program providing all of the necessary ingredients for preparations of special meals for families in need. Donating to the Holiday Basket Program is an opportunity to share with others less fortunate in our community. 
           
The Walnut Valley Rotary Club and other community volunteers are conducting this Holiday Basket Program, with the assistance of Rowland Unified School District Employees; Rowland and Nogales High Schools Interact Clubs; and the Rowland, Nogales, and Santana High Schools ASBs. We are again asking for your support in these efforts through donations of canned and packaged non-perishable foods.
Please send your donations of canned and packaged non-perishable foods now through Wednesday, December 11 to your school or the District Office.  
All donations collected will be distributed to those in need. We thank you!

UPCOMING HOLIDAY EVENTS!
Monday, Dec. 9 Elementary Winter Concert
Elementary band and strings students (from Blandford, Hollingworth, Jellick, Northam, Villacorta, Ybarra & Yorbita ) will perform at Rowland High School in the Gym at 7 p.m.
We are still in need of sponsors for our annual Adopt N' Shop Program! Our Family Resource Center is conducting our annual Adopt N' Shop celebration to share the magic & joy of the holiday season with families in need! Families are referred by our Family Resource Center liaisons. An individual or group can sponsor a child or family and sponsors are given their "wish list." Sponsors can provide one article of clothing per child or two toys per child and an optional grocery gift card for a holiday meal.

Last year we were able to service 108 families and 284 children!
Rowland High School Holiday Follies Concert This Saturday Dec. 7

Celebrate the sounds of the holidays with the Rowland Organization of Choirs! Enjoy performances by Rowland High School in their Hideout for two performances this Saturday, December 7 at
2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 at the door, $8 for students with ASB cards.
Nogales Noble Regiment (Along with Giano & Telesis) Holiday Concert
Dec. 12
Enjoy a night of amazing music and entertainment as our Bands and Colorguards perform from Giano, Telesis and Nogales High School. Performances are on Thursday, December 12 at 7 p.m. at Nogales High School Gym at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.
District Holiday Boutique December 13
Our STARS students will have their cafe open for homemade treats and toasty drinks during the District Holiday Boutique on Friday, December 13 at 9:30 AM. It sells out fast!

Come shop with us and be treated by our Stars Students at their Cafe! The Annual RUSD Holiday Boutique is open to the community and will feature vendors from across the District, as well as our Stars Students who will be selling their homemade treats and coffees and teas at 9:30 a.m. Please join us for holiday shopping at the District Office, located at 1830 S. Nogales Street in Rowland Heights on Friday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
