This month's featured online resource:
|
|
The Libby app is the easiest way to get started with digital books, audiobooks, and magazines from your public library! Install the Libby app from the app store on your Android or iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) device. Or, visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser. In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid library card. Browse your library’s collection and borrow a title. Borrowed titles appear on your Shelf and download to the app automatically when you're on Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you're offline. Check out this short video tutorial on our web page.
Starting January 4, Overdrive/Libby will require you to input your PIN to log in. This is the same PIN you use to log into your library account. For most of us, the PIN is the last 4 numbers of the phone number in your library account. Try it now. If you can't remember your PIN, you can use the Forgot Your Password? link on the login screen to reset it, or call us at 978-948-2850.

Featured artists
Chris Speropolous didn't start painting until age 63, when he finally found time to pursue his lifelong interest after retiring from teaching. He currently paints in acrylics and has learned by watching You-tube videos. Most of his paintings have been given away to family and friends that are fans of his work. He also builds the frames and tries to make them an extension of the theme in the painting. He is accepting commissions to do a custom painting and frame for the highest reasonable bidder of a donation to St. Jude Children's hospital - email him at csperoe@comcast.net.
The display will be up through December at the Rowley Public Library, 141 Main Street in Rowley. For more information, call 978-948-2850.
We have been proud to show off so many local artists and collectors in the past! If you would be interested in displaying your work in the future, either on our walls or in our display case, please contact us.

Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant would like to thank the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection along with the Board of Library Trustees, Library Director Pam Jacobson, Town Administrator Debbie Eagan and her staff, Rowley Highway Department, as well as the Rowley Selectman for their help in making this happen.
