Girl Scouts: Bronze, Silver, & Gold Awards
The Rowley Girl Scouts are always eager to come together for fun, friendship, and giving back to the community! Their activities are diverse and engaging, ranging from creative pursuits like making crafts to exciting outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, and geocaching. During the holidays, they host caroling on the common while lighting the trees and menorah. Beyond these events, the scouts are busy year-round: they run the iconic cookie sales, help younger troops by teaching what they know, build cars to compete in Pinewood Derbys, volunteer to help local organizations, attend town events/ celebrations and diligently help the environment by working at the paper drive on the second Saturday of every odd month. As these girls grow, their dedication is recognized as they work toward the highest levels of achievement in Girl Scouting: the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. Troop 70357 (current 6th graders) worked hard during their last year of Juniors to complete their Bronze Awards. They spent months researching adoption and ways to care for elderly dogs and how to care for the environment with trail clean-ups and the installation of a dog waste bag dispenser at the Eiras Park trail.

We'd like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all our volunteers, donors, patrons, and library staff for another successful fall book sale on October 18th! We raised $1,345 which will be put toward the library's programming for our community. The book sale could not have happened without our gracious volunteers -- over 81 volunteer hours clocked by our friends and neighbors!

The Friends have received many donations this past month to grow the tree mural in the library's lobby! Members of the community who donate to the library's programming are celebrated with a leaf displayed on this beautiful mural. Donate here!

Join the Friends for our next meeting, Wednesday, December 3 at 7pm. We would love to share our plans for 2026! If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about our board, you can email us at friendsboard@rowleylibrary.org.

Note from the President: I will not seek re-election next year as president of the Friends. My life journey is taking me on another path. Who loves community and wants to contribute in a most wonderful way by running for president of the Friends? Reach out with questions, 978-412-6202. -Siegi

Thank you from the Friends -- Andrea, Steve, Natali and Siegi
