In our Gallery: Kids' Art

Every Wednesday, a great group of kids work on different art projects at the library. Every week it’s amazing how their creativity will take an assignment and make something that no adult could have anticipated. This month, these kids are so excited to share their artwork with the community. They hope you’ll enjoy what they’ve made—and if any kids are inspired to join the fun, they can always come join us on Wednesdays at 3:30 PM!

In our Display Case:

Antiques Appraisal with the Rowley Historical Society

Ever wonder what Great-aunt Edna's vase is really worth? Check out the Rowley Historical Society's display this month for some hints. Their annual Antiques Appraisal Night will be held on October 16 in the Large Meeting Room.

Would you like to share your art or collectibles with others?

We have been proud to show off so many local artists and collectors in the past! If you would be interested in displaying your work, hobby, or interest in the future, either on our walls or in our display case, please contact us.

Free with your library card:

Our fall book sale is almost here! The Friends are so grateful for the first wave of donations at our drop off on September 20th. If you missed that date, we will be accepting additional donations of books, DVDs, CDs, games, and puzzles on October 4th from 9:00am-12:00pm. The book sale will be held Saturday, October 18th from 9:00am - 2:00pm. All Friends donors are invited to preview night Friday the 17th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

Volunteers are needed to make the book sale a success! Please consider giving a few hours of your time. Get to know others in the community while supporting our library. All volunteers also get to choose a free book at the sale. SIGN UP HERE or email us at friendsboard@rowleylibrary.org.

The tree mural in the library’s lobby highlights our community members who monetarily contribute to the library’s programming. Let us highlight you! Donate today.

Join the Friends for our next meeting Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7:00pm. We need and love volunteers.

Thank you from the Friends -- Andrea, Steve, Natali and Siegi

Not sure what to read? Let us help!
If you're a teen between the ages of 13 and 18 and you have trouble figuring out what to read next, the Youth Services Department has a solution for you!

The YA LitCrate is a mystery box filled with books and goodies for you to enjoy! All you have to do is fill out a form to let us know what you enjoy reading, and we'll give you a call when it's ready to pick up.

The books and box must be returned, but the gifts inside are yours to keep!
