EMS Band Takes First Place in Music Showcase Festival
Eisenhower Middle School's Eighth Grade Concert Band took first place in a Music Showcase Festival and was awarded Outstanding Section Awards for the trumpet and French Horn sections.
The students competed in Class A Concert Band and were rated against four other ensembles in the same group classification. The band was adjudicated in areas such as intonation, ensemble technique, and interpretation.
After the performance at Bethlehem Catholic High School, the students spent the afternoon celebrating their accomplishments at Dorney Park! Click here to read more and see more pictures on our website under "In the News".
NYU Accepts Roxbury's Max Dorn
Succasunna resident Max Chloe Dorn, a Roxbury High School senior, has been admitted to the Global Liberal Studies Program at New York University (NYU).
NYU has been Dorn's "dream school" for many years, according to her parents. She will begin classes in January but will be entering an accelerated program that will allow her to graduate in May 2022, the same graduation date as students who begin in fall 2018, said the acceptance letter.
