From The Editors July 31st, 2019

In this issue of British Columbia Golf's newsletter, we have the wrap up of yet another landmark victory by one of BC's and Canada's all-time great amateurs, Doug Roxburgh. Roxburgh added to his already lengthy resume of National and Provincial titles with his 5th BC Senior Men's Championship.

We also have news on the record-setting qualification by a female into the CP Canadian Women's Open at the ripe-old age of 12. Along with that there's news of two of BC's finest young golfers heading to Ivy League Universities on scholarships down south, how Daylight Saving Time is important for golf in our province and an enlightening piece by Brad Ziemer on the great year that Merritt's Roger Sloan is having. Even if CBS golf analyst Peter Kostis doesn't think Sloan has a good grasp on The Beatles and their history.

Ziemer's BC Golf notes are also back with his weekly eye on what's happening involving golf and golfers around BC.

As always, if you have any thoughts or suggestions on topics you'd like to see appear going forward in your newsletter please send a message via the "Contact Us" button located on the top right of the BC Golf website home page.
