Happy New Year to all of our Roy Cloud Families!
We are starting off the new year with a 30 Days of Kindness campaign based on our work with Character Strong. Our middle school students are planning activities schoolwide and our goal is for every student and family to be a part of this journey. Take a look at this message from Houston Kraft, Character Strong Founder.

|
Principal's Meetups this year will focus on Houston’s book, "Deep Kindness" and will follow a book club format. A limited number of books have been purchased and are being offered as a gift to the first ten people who email me with a commitment to support the campaign by participating in the five meetups. They will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 PM on January 21st, February 25th, March 18th, April 22nd, and May 20th.
To get you started, why not try the Day 1 exercise from the Kindness Journal shown here?

Let’s all work together to make kindness normal in 2021 and beyond!
Kindly,
Diane

Introducing the Roy Cloud Discovery Series
|
Our PTO is hosting a three-part discovery series for families curious to learn more about academics at Roy Cloud, grade by grade.
The series is divided into three sessions during which a teacher from each grade will speak briefly about the experiences, expectations, highlights, and challenges of the academic curriculum at Roy Cloud. This is a great opportunity to gain more visibility into what lies ahead in your student's academic journey.
- Session 1: Looking Forward to Grades 3-5 | January 12th
-
Session 2: Taking the Lead in Grades 6-8 | February 9th
-
Session 3: Starting Strong in Grades K-2 | March 9th
