On behalf of the entire staff I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support, words of encouragement and collaborative conversations as we worked through this past year! We are stronger because of the struggle and I look forward to what that renewed strength will produce in the year to come.
Congratulations to all of our eighth grade students and families who were able to complete their years at Roy Cloud with an in-person promotion ceremony. The staff and I will miss you and we wish you well.
We have a special orientation planned for our new kindergarten students and families on their first day of school at Roy Cloud on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. A letter will be mailed out to you the week of June 14th with details. For our students in grades 1-8 we are also planning a special first day welcome back. It will be a day filled with orientations and welcomes involving the entire teaching staff, focusing on building relationships and making connections, including assemblies, school tours and FUN! Details to follow in August.
Whether your summertime takes you to distant lands, or to your own backyard or neighborhood park, be safe, be well and return to us refreshed and ready to start anew.
Take good care,
Diane

Hello all,
This is my final message to you as we wrap what was a very interesting year to say the least. I’d like to start with a great big ‘THANK YOU!’ to our entire Roy Cloud community.
Our teachers took the learnings from the pivot to distance learning from the year prior and made every effort to deliver an outstanding educational experience for our children. This did not come easy and the increased workload asked of them was not insignificant. We are lucky to have such an amazing staff of teachers. Thank you!
Our administration worked hard to keep up with the constantly changing flow of information and provide our teaching staff with tools needed to serve our community. I would like to thank Diane and Kristy specifically for their efforts this year. They truly went the extra mile.
Our PTO executive board and committee members need to be thanked for all the extra effort that was put in behind the scenes. From sourcing supplies for our teachers, to keeping our comms channels open, to delivering a record-setting Jog-A-Thon fundraising event, to managing our budget and program vendors...Great job team!
Lastly, I’d like to thank our parent community. It goes without saying that much of the burden fell on your shoulders this year. Creating a learning environment at home for children of various ages while continuing to manage your careers was not easy. Despite the disruption and challenges, I was often amazed to see how motivated and generous our parent community was throughout the year. We should all be proud to be part of such an amazing community.
I wish everyone an amazing summer break and I look forward to seeing everyone next year (on campus)!
Best,
Ryan

On behalf of the entire school community, we thank our parent volunteers for making the very most out of a strange and often challenging year. Each volunteer plays a vital role in creating this thriving community. Whether you ran a program, joined a committee, helped a teacher, or performed other volunteer activities, your actions directly connect to the mission of the PTO. Thank you for your time and your dedication!
