Seussical the Musical

"Oh, the thinks you can think!" Horton the Elephant and the Cat in the Hat have taken over the stage at the PAC!

Only three chances to see our fun and fantastical fall musical: Thursday, November 14, Friday, November 15 & Saturday, November 16. All shows start at 7 p.m. in the WMHS Performing Arts Center.

Fun for the whole family!

Project-Based Learning

Check our 4th and 5th grade engineers!

Students in Mrs. Steuernagel's class used a wind turbine project to learn about the principles of engineering.

In small groups, students designed, built, tested, modified and retested their wind turbines. They learned about wind energy, teamwork, problem solving and more.

Working Together

Have you noticed what's happening at the middle school baseball field?

The Minnesota Twins Community Fund, the Royal Boosters, the Mayer Baseball Club, Mr. Erickson and his students (standing in the dugout frame), and many others provided financial support and physical labor to add a grass infield, sprinkler system, dugouts and bleachers.

Thank you to all who contributed!

We are already looking forward to baseball season!

To see more field and dugout construction pictures visit the WM School District Facebook page.

Helping Others
The Watertown-Mayer FFA conducted their annual Corn Drive in October.
Every year, generous local farmers donate part of their harvest to the FFA. The students collect and the sell the corn. Proceeds from the effort help send local children to camps such as Freedom Farm and Camp Courage/Friendship.
In the picture, FFA Area Alumni Jacob Borka and Charlie Burns help FFA members unload a gravity box donated by Thaemert Farms.
Save the Turkeys

Thanks to our creative Kindergarteners, these turkeys won't end up on the dinner table. It's an annual tradition--the turkeys hide under glitter, noodles, masks and more.

Picture of the Month

Mr. Nace goes country!

The Primary School theme this year is "Saddle Up for Success." Mr. Nace wears his cowboy duds for the kids every Friday.
