Unity Day
Royal PRIDE turned ORANGE as students and staff members across the district celebrated kindness, acceptance and inclusion on Unity Day .

Primary and middle school students pledged to "stop bullying one step at a time." Orange paper feet with messages about kindness and standing up for others lined the hallways in both buildings.

´╗┐Other festivities around the district included pinky painting, orange bracelets and positive notes to friends. Thanks to everyone who works toward the goal of making every day unity day! #unity365

Shaping The Future of WM Schools
Our school district is entering into exciting work to shape the future of our schools.

Stakeholders from across the district, including parents, school district staff, students and representatives from our local business communities, have been invited to participate on the WM Profile of a Graduate Committee.
The committee will collaboratively research the knowledge and skills our students need to be successful in their lives beyond our schools. The committee will then create a Profile of a Watertown Mayer Graduate that will support the development of local standards to guide curriculum and instructional practice.

You can learn more about the work of the WM Profile of a Graduate Committee by contacting Superintendent Wilke at or 952-955-0480.
Preschool Visitors
Ms. Karilyn's Young Royals preschool class had 3 surprise visitors in September...Monarch butterflies! A friend in the class had been raising them at home and wanted to share the experience.

Students had the opportunity to observe the butterflies as they hung upside and moved around in their cage. At the end of the day, the students released them one by one, waving goodbye and wishing them luck on their new journey!
