Royal Oaks May Newsletter
To our Golfers and Royal Oaks community,

Since our province has recently announced the 2nd phased approach to reopening the economy, all things seem possible in MAY. We were very pleased to see that golf courses are among those businesses included in the first wave to open. Our course has wintered very well and our teams are working diligently in preparation for opening, which we anticipate to be in the coming weeks. It's with great pleasure we welcome you back to Royal Oaks for the 2020 season, there are many new changes in operations and policies that you'll get to experience shortly.
The health & safety of our members, guests and team is our number one priority. When the course opens, we will be operating under a number of strict safety precautions, and with limited services. We are planning a phased approach to re-introducing elements of your club experience within our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), as our Provincial Government mandates. We will first begin with the driving range on May 15th, golfers will need to Call and Book their time at the driving range , we will also have a limited menu for our deli kiosk to serve our guests.
The new SOP is comprehensive and designed to mitigate the risk of Members, guests and employees from contracting potential germs & viruses. Physical distancing, limiting touch points, and elevated cleaning and disinfection processes are the main themes there will be plexi-glass in our Pro Shop & Deli counters. Once we re-open Crosswinds Restaurant there will be a change to our previous floor plan to allow for proper spacing.

We’ve collaborated with many other clubs along with provincial and national golf associations in development of our SOP. Provincial officials will be monitoring the newly opened businesses including golf clubs in the coming weeks to ensure Royal Oaks Golf Club is a safe environment. It will be imperative for everyone to respect the guidelines of our SOP to ensure everyone’s safety and to avoid any future interruption to club operations.

Your feedback is valuable and always appreciated.
We share your excitement about the season ahead and believe that the sport of golf is naturally well-positioned as a safe outdoor activity for everyone. Let’s all work together to stay safe while we enjoy the role golf can play in our lives as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kind regards,

Royal Oaks Team
