The North Royalton City Schools have a Bond Issue on the ballot this November 6th. The money raised from this issue will be used to renovate and upgrade our buildings. From new roofs, to upgrades in electrical, heating, ventilation and technology, this bond issue will address our facility needs for decades to come.

There is information on our district website, as well as the links below,  to help you become more informed on this issue.

Royal View Reminders

In recent days, we have had a number of students arriving to school before the official 8:45 a.m. drop-off time. Bus riders are not allowed to enter the building prior to this time so we need to make sure our students being dropped off are also not arriving prior to 8:45 a.m.

Likewise, at dismissal, we need to make sure that all parents and former Royal View students who are picking up students are waiting in the front foyer until the students are called on the PA system. Staff would be happy to meet with you as needed after dismissal but need to focus their full attention on getting our students ready to leave up until 3:30 p.m.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and your assistance!
Help your student be a Hero in Pajamas

Royal View welcomed representatives from the American Red Cross on Oct. 4th for an assembly geared toward recruiting parents and family members for an upcoming blood drive.

North Royalton City Schools will be sponsoring a blood drive as part of the North Royalton Health, Wellness & Community Expo in conjunction with the Red Cross on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Gymnasium.

Elementary students throughout the district have the opportunity to earn a pajama party that includes wearing their pajamas to school if they bring information on the upcoming blood drive home to parents and relatives. To schedule an appointment, go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code NRSchools.

Hundreds attend annual Scarecrow Festival

Started more than 15 years ago, the Scarecrow Festival is an event where families are invited to make a scarecrow to decorate the front of Royal View Elementary. This year's event, attended by over 100 families, was held on Sunday, Sept. 30th.

There was a random drawing of scarecrow designers to determine three winning families, with Cassidy Doyle, Grady Bokoch and Shyla Algeri all receiving $10 Five Below gift cards.

In addition to the drawing, the PTA sponsored activities such as tug-o-war, a penny toss, sidewalk chalk, cornhole, temporary tattooing and a foam pumpkin decorating station. Families also brought hot dogs and marshmallows to roast at the fire pit and 15 different students won jars of candy by guessing the amount of items in the jars.

Students also had the opportunity to have their fortunes read by a PTA volunteer and participated in a Snack Walk where they had the chance to win a variety of snacks and $5 Five Below gift cards.

Many thanks to our wonderful PTA for organizing the event and for their efforts to collect canned goods and boxed dinner mixes for the North Royalton/Kiwanis Emergency Food Bank.
