Ruby Da Cherry, half of the acclaimed New Orleans duo $uicideboy$, debuts his second EP under the alias DUCKBOY with the release of ‘existential hymns for the average sigma (vol. 9).’ Combining punk with a catchy pop appeal, Ruby revisits his musical roots when he played in bands influenced by the Misfits, Minor Threat, and Leftover Crack. The multi-faceted artist handles all vocals and instruments and explores new sounds and narratives outside of the $uicideboy$. DUCKBOY is a symbolism of "ducking" past life's trials and distractions, serving as a unique reflection of Ruby's personal journey - LISTEN HERE.

Stand-out song "EXCALIBUR," is a vibrant anthem driven by dynamic guitar riffs, lively drumming, and an infectious chorus. The track debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist - LISTEN HERE.

In 2023, Ruby Da Cherry and his cousin $crim achieved remarkable success as the $uicideboy$, delivering a substantial amount of music including six $uicideboy$ projects, and Ruby’s first DUCKBOY EP, "tragic love songs to study to [vol. 5]." The group completed their largest Grey Day Tour to date, playing arenas and amphitheaters across the US in 44 major cities and selling nearly 500,000 tickets. Their year included the fifth installment of their fan-favorite series "I No Longer Fear The Razor Guarding My Heel," a 4-part EP series titled the Yin Yang Tapes, and joint projects with G59 Record$ labelmates Shakewell ("Shameless $uicide") and Germ (“DIRTIESTNASTIEST$UICIDE”). 

In 2023, their music collectively garnered 3 billion Spotify streams. $uicideboy$ are featured on the cover of Spotify’s Top Groups of 2023 USA (most-streamed groups in US), and their single Not Even Ghosts Are This Empty added to both Best Groups of 2023 and Top Gaming Tracks of 2023.  

In 2024, the $uicideboy$ will extend their Grey Day Tour overseas with shows in Australia and New Zealand on March 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 28th, 29th and 30th spanning Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. About Ruby Da Cherry:

Ruby Da Cherry, born Aristos Petrou, is best known as one half of the rap duo $uicideboy$. The New Orleans native dabbled in punk rock, influenced by the Misfits, Minor Threat, and Leftover Crack before teaming up with his cousin Scott Arceneaux Jr. (better known as $crim) and forming the $uicideboy$ in 2014. The group quickly gained recognition for their unique blend of dark and aggressive hip-hop pierced with punk intensity, often touching on themes of mental health, substance abuse, and existentialism.

Their latest album and third official full-length Sing Me A Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation marked their 3rd consecutive LP to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200.
