  • Identify your earliest awareness of race. What arethe memories that come to mind? What experiences from your upbringing shaped the ways that you viewed and thought about race?
  • How has racial privilege (ie: advantage in social, political, or economic circumstances that benefit one race over others in a society) impacted your life? Feel free to create a list, draw a map or diagram, write a reflection, etc. to record as many as you can think of.
  • What observations do you have regarding race and racial awareness in your spiritual communities? How is it acknowledged or talked about? What are ways that racial awareness can be more incorporated into your spiritual communities and personal practice?
