Gilgit-Baltistan, a Shia-majority region of northern Pakistan, constitutes both a border area and part of disputed Kashmir. Ahead of her seminar this afternoon, we spoke with Nosheen Ali to learn more about the on-the-ground status of the region beyond its typical impression as an idyllic paradise.
