Happy Summer, PEPS friends,
At PEPS, as the Deputy Director I focus on the operational side of the organization - HR, technology, finance and communications. Over the last several years we've been committed to finding ways to do our work and make our workplace even better.
Just like with so much of the work we do parenting - the late-night feedings, the childcare juggle, the laundry and the emotional labor, there's a lot that's unseen in order for PEPS to connect more than 3,500 parents each year in PEPS Groups. We've utilized technology to find more effective ways to register parents, rolled out a new employee handbook and paid parental leave policy and even set up a space in our office and a signup system so moms in our building can have a private and comfortable place to pump.
We've also intentionally made connection part of our culture for our  14 staff members. We start our meetings with time to connect and end them with time for gratitude. We developed staff agreements that push us to assume the best in each other, be curious and open to discomfort and seek out opportunities to learn. All these shifts, big and small, help make our staff more inspired to keep up the critical work we do, to connect new parents and build resilient, healthy communities and families.
In this newsletter, you can read a bit more about some of the things the PEPS Staff has been up to - from producing 8 new videos to enhance our leader training to translating our curriculum into Spanish. And of course, we also offer lots of other stories and perspectives on parenting.
Enjoy, and we see you and everything you do PEPS Parents!

Dana Guy

Anita Tourigny is a PEPS mom and now a PEPS grandma!

Anita loves PEPS because as a retired Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner, she understands  the importance of parents  getting out of the house,  making social connections,  and finding confidence and  support in their new role.  Best part? Her son - that  PEPS baby - is now a PEPS  parent himself!  Congrats to  this multi-generational  PEPS family, and THANK  YOU Anita for your ongoing financial support  gift that helps parents in  our community to thrive!
