The lastest rumor we've heard from Lucy ...
The hottest tea being spilled is some chatter that we will no longer have classes.
We're expanding our retail shop and creating a better overall experience for you. By creating a convertible space in one wing of the building we can offer an expanded clearance section, a growing garment section, stamping and fabric paints, Sashiko and more.
We are also in the printing process a new 25 bolt fabric collection by Terrie Mangat, who has worked with FreeSpirit and Robert Kaufman..
These new fabrics will be available exclusively at Hip Stitch.
So we hope you can you see why we need to expand our retail space for this exciting next chapter in the Hip Stitch saga.
The key word here is convertible: When it's time for a Kimberbell class, a charity group, a Sunday retreat, a SAQA meeting or craft night, the room will be function as a classroom.
When there aren't classes or meetings, we'll have a store 'annex' which will allows us to best showcase our merchandise -- giving it some breathing room so you can really take in the vibrant colors and prints, the exclusive fabrics and bundles and kits that you've come to expect from Hip Stitch.
We're very excited about this change; we hope you will be too.
When will Hip Stitch have more classes ...?
A question that we hear is 'when will you be having more classes?'.
We're not 100% comfortable with a multitude of larger gatherings yet. We're taking it a bit slower in opening fully to many class offerings, since the pandemic is continuing as the virus is replicating and mutating.
(We are encouraging new sewists to consider a private lesson with us!)
We appreciate your understanding in this. We know you have choices as to where you shop for fabric. We are grateful for your support of our growing and mutating store.
