TMC A-Mountain First-Round Race Report

Oh my goodness, what a great morning Sunday morning was!

We hope that you enjoyed yourself as much as we did . . . thanks for putting in all the training miles and thanks, too, for all the finish line smiles!

We'll send a more detailed race report later this week, but here are a few quick items:

Results

Results can be found on the TMC race registration page or at www.runsar.org.

If you have any questions about your results, please contact randy@runtucson.net and he'll try to help!

Finisher Video: You can see a video of yourself finishing the race at the results page, courtesy of Greg Wenneborg and Roadrunner Race Timing.

Age group awards: Awards that have not been picked up will be at The Running Shop. In the Cigna Healthcare 4-miler, first place in 10-year age groups receive Running Shop gift cards. In the TMC half-marathon, top three in male/female in 5-year age groups 15-19 through 80+ can pick up their gift cards at The Running Shop.

Prize money: Checks will be mailed to top three overall and top masters in male/female categories. Award rules are here.

Remaining Shirts and Medals

Leftover shirts and medals have been brought to The Running Shop already. If you missed the race, you can still snag your souvenirs before November 20th. Visit the Running Shop at 3055 North Campbell Avenue. Shirt sizes available are unisex small, medium, large, extra-large, and XXL. (Yes, we ordered way too many shirts this time, so there are plenty of shirts!)

Photos and Drone Footage

Photos: You can see photos from our friends at The Tucson Photographer (Samuel and Damion Alexander) here.

You can upload your own photos and you can see the Race Director's Start/Finish line snapshots here: https://runsignup.com/Race/Photos/AZ/Tucson/TMCGetMovingTucson

Drone Footage: BG Boyd has put together some awesome drone footage. Once we get it queued up, we'll send more details about how to view them!

Next Up

On our end, we're heading up to the Grand Canyon tomorrow to produce the Grand Canyon Trail Marathon, Trail Half Marathon and 5k.

On November 22nd we're back in Downtown Tucson with our partners at El Tour for the super-fun El Tour de Tucson 5k Run/Walk.

OK -- thanks again for being part of our great running community.

Thanks to the vendors, sponsors, and beneficiaries

We are honored to have had Tucson Medical Center as our title sponsor for over a decade now. TMC is one of Southern Arizona's largest employers -- and they're looking to add to their roster of great staff. Whether in nursing, medtech, housekeeping, management or more, there's always something available at TMC. If you're interested in working at TMC, check out their various job postings at https://jobs.tmcaz.com.

Thank You for Supporting Our Local Beneficiaries, including the BEYOND-Tucson Foundation

As the final leg of the 2025 Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown honoring the slain civil servant, Gabe Zimmerman, the TMC A-Mountain event expects to raise over $4000 for BEYOND and $13,000 for local organizations.

Special thanks to Ross Zimmerman and Pam Golden and the entire Zimmerman family for allowing us to honor Gabe through these events. Supported by funding from Tucson Medical Center and participants, the events provide funding for the following organizations:

BEYOND Tucson Foundation: Following the tragic shooting on the morning of January 8, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona at Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ “Congress On Your Corner,” the Southern Arizona community spontaneously came together to honor, remember, and show solidarity for those that were killed, injured, or traumatized by the event. Along with its partners, BEYOND provides year-round opportunities for the public to participate in a series of healthy activities and to learn more about the scientific research that shows methods for optimal physical and mental health.

Children’s Museum, Tucson: Children’s Museum Tucson offers adventure learning, interactive exhibits and daily programming.

Greater Tucson Leadership is a non-profit, non-partisan leadership organization dedicated to providing leadership education, community development and civic engagement for the overall care of and commitment to our Tucson community.

Southern Arizona Roadrunners is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting health and fitness in Tucson and Southern Arizona through running and walking.
