Run Wild Missoula Interim Executive Director:
Passing the Torch
|
The time has come for me to pass the torch to our new Executive Director, Trisha Drobeck. The last ten months have been an experience I certainly won’t forget any time soon. I feel very fortunate to have received support and encouragement from so many club and community members.
My time at Run Wild Missoula has definitely been a wild ride. I was hired as a part-time operations coordinator that I was able to turn into a full-time gig. Experiencing growth and change within RWM has been an incredibly unique opportunity. In my time, the Missoula Marathon has won several awards, RWM has made impactful monetary contributions to community projects, and we have brought in additional volunteer leaders for trail sessions which have provided more opportunities for members to participate.
It is bittersweet to pass the torch to a new mentor, officially closing my chapter with Tony. I have known Trisha for a few years now, and was fortunate enough to have her coach me through a few great marathon training cycles. I know Tony will still have a presence in our daily operations and in some of the big picture projects moving forward. However, the time has come for Trisha to take the lead at Run Wild Missoula and forge her own path forward for the club.
As I step back into the role of Director of Operations, I am looking forward to continuing to provide racing, running, and walking opportunities for members and non-members alike. The active lifestyle we promote and support for the Missoula community is one I feel very strongly about, and am fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to serve you all.
Run Wild, Run Free –
