Project Safeguard is a Charity Partner for the 2026 Denver Colfax Marathon May 16 & 17!

The Marathon, Half Marathon, Urban 10 Miler, and Marathon Relays take place on Sunday, May 17. The main race's route includes Empower Field at Mile High, seven miles of lakes, rivers, and bridges, and views of the Rocky Mountains.

Early bird registration ends on January 28 at 11:59 p.m. When registering for the marathon, select Project Safeguard as your nonprofit.

January is both National Human Trafficking Prevention Month and National Stalking Awareness Month.

Each year, more than 27 million people worldwide are impacted by human trafficking, which includes both forced labor and sex trafficking. Human trafficking and intimate partner violence often go hand in hand, as perpetrators of intimate partner violence will coerce their partners into forced labor or sex as part of their abuse.

Millions of people each year are also impacted by stalking, many of whom are also survivors of other forms of intimate partner violence, as about 40% of stalking is done by intimate partners.
