Take in Heritage’s world-famous rhododendrons and nature trails in a whole new way during the Run for the Rhodies 5K Trail Race! Run, jog, or walk along scenic pathways and flower-studded woodland trails to discover some of Heritage’s most beautiful acres. Race registration includes museum admission for the day as well as a commemorative medallion for all finishers.
Awards will be given out to the top finishers in each gender category, and the first 50 finishers will be published on our website, but as this is a “fun run,” no race times will be recorded. Please bring your own timing device if you’d like to time your race.
Please note: This is a trail run with rocks, roots, dips, turns, stairs, and some uphill terrain. Capacity for this event is limited and advance registration is required.

New Themes at Hidden Hollow

In conjunction with Otherworldly, Heritage's new outdoor sculpture exhibit, explore creatures that can be found in folktales, myths, and stories in many places around the world. Find inspiration in the natural world to create habitats for mermaids, build bridges fit for trolls, create a sandy labyrinth for a minotaur, or play Medusa freeze tag. Learn how different cultures imagined dragons and create one to take home, where it can become a main character in your own stories!
