Ad Rates for 2025

The 2025 rates for advertising employment and buy/sell postings through SARM's Classifieds webpage and weekly digital newsletter, the Rural Dart, are $155 (+ tax) for members and $310 (+ tax) for non-members. Please submit your ad requests through SARM's online submission forms linked below.

Call for Nominations

SARM Elections


The deadline for nominations to be received for SARM President, SARM Vice President, and Division Directors in Divisions 2, 4, and 6 is 5:00 pm, February 13, 2025 – this date is 28 days prior to the date of the election. The date for elections is March 13, 2025.

  • All elected positions are two-year terms. 
  • The two-year terms of office for the six Directors are staggered, with the two-year term for the Directors of Divisions 1, 3, and 5 from the election at the annual convention in an even year and continuing until the completion of the election for those positions at the annual convention two years henceforth. 
  • The two-year terms for the Directors of Divisions 2, 4, and 6 are from the election at the annual convention in an odd year and continuing until the completion of the election for those positions at the annual convention two years henceforth.
  • The two-year terms for the President and Vice-President shall be two years such that:
  • The term of office for the President shall be two years, from the date of election at the annual convention in an even year until the completion of the election for the position at the annual convention two years henceforth, (for transitional purposes, at the annual convention in 2025, the President shall be elected for a three-year term until the completion of the Election for the position at the annual convention in 2028), and thereafter for two-year terms at the annual convention in even years, and,
  • The term of office for the Vice-President shall be two years, from the date of election at the annual convention in an odd year until the completion of the election for the position at the annual convention two years henceforth.

Nominations may be submitted by mail, by fax (306.565.2141), or by email. If sent by email, a scanned copy of the nomination is to be submitted to lfeltin@sarm.ca. The candidate’s acceptance form must be filed by the same deadline in the same manner.

2025 SARM Annual

Convention & Trade Show Registration

 

Registration for the 2025 SARM Annual Convention & Trade Show is now open. The deadline to register and/or make any revisions to your registration is February 28, 2025.

 

Please ensure that all members from your RM who wish to attend convention are registered by the deadline. Registration is not required for any RM employees who will only be attending the trade show.

Name badges for RM councils and administrators will be mailed out this month, based on the SARM RM Directory. Any SARM members attending the convention must bring their badge to the venue, it will act as a ticket which will be scanned upon arrival.

 

If you have registered additional/new attendees, their name badges will be available onsite. In addition, if a name badge requires updating or correcting, it will be done onsite.

 

Non-members can register to attend by visiting the SARM website.

Vacancy for Saskatchewan Representative on the FCM Board of Directors

Call for Nominations

 

At this moment, there are three (3) vacant seats in the Prairies and Territories Caucus. These roles must be filled by Saskatchewan representatives, who will serve until the end of the current board term in June 2025. The positions are as follows:

  

  • at least one (1) seat for three (3) largest (by population) Municipal Members. 
  • one (1) or two (2) at-large seats, depending on the number of seats filled by the largest cities.

 

Eligibility criteria

 

Eligible elected municipal representatives are invited to run for these Board positions. In accordance with FCM’s bylaws, those who are eligible to serve as directors on FCM’s Board must meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Be an elected official of an FCM member municipality from Saskatchewan. 
  2. Complete and submit the Consent and Board Profile Form
  3. Submit an official resolution (see this example) endorsed by their member municipality authorizing them to seek a position on FCM’s Board of Directors and agreeing to cover the costs of their attendance at meetings.

The deadline for submitting all nomination materials to FCM is Monday, February 17th at 5:00 pm EST.
