Rail Safety Week
September 15-21, 2025
Every year, Operation Lifesaver Canada leads Rail Safety Week to raise awareness and save lives. In 2025, we’re inviting Canadians to join us in spreading the message.
More than 2,100 North Americans are killed or seriously injured annually in railway crossing and trespassing incidents. Almost all of these incidents are preventable. Railways play an important role in our society by transporting both people and goods. But as more rail lines are built across Canada, we need to work together to ensure that residents know how to keep themselves safe around tracks and trains.
| | Rail safety is a shared responsibility, and we need your help to ensure that residents in cities, towns, and rural communities stay safe around tracks and trains. | | | |
This fall in Saskatoon, Bloom Centre for Municipal Education is offering two highly practical, two-day in-person courses designed specifically for rural and urban municipalities.
Municipal Leadership (October 6–7) empowers leaders at all levels to build stronger teams, manage conflict, and turn vision into reality, while Operating Budget & Long-Term Tax Strategy Essentials (October 9–10) equips participants with the tools to strengthen financial stewardship, align budgets with council priorities, and support sustainable service delivery.
| | | Register before September 15th to receive a 25% early-bird discount, or take advantage of group discounts for teams of three or more registering together. | | | | |
