This year marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Rural Development Act. The Act led to the creation of the nation’s four Regional Rural Development Centers (RRDCs), including the Western Rural Development Center (WRDC), a CSG West partner. WRDC plays a critical role in operating extension services and agricultural experiment stations in the western region. 

Federal cybersecurity funding for state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT) governments is forthcoming. This legislative exchange will dive deeper into how states can make the funding they receives goes further to improve their overall cybersecurity ecosystem.

In Biden v. Texas the U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether a federal statute requires the Biden administration to implement the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). The Supreme Court will also decide whether the lower court erred in concluding that the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new decision to terminate MPP had no legal effect.
