There are several seats to the board opening for the 2022 term year.

Individuals should be members in good standing, live in Tennessee, and able to commit to attending board meetings and the responsibilities of governance and oversight.

Maternal Health in Rural Tennessee - Panel Discussions
Join us June 2nd, 8:30am - 12:00pm Central for discussions with leaders about maternal health and access to care in rural Tennessee.

Joining us will be representatives from Tennessee Department of Health, March of Dimes, TN Justice Center, Children's Hospital Alliance of TN, and Newport Pediatrics.

Moderating will be Dr. Beth Fox, ETSU Quillen College of Medicine.

Each year RHA of TN recognizes individuals and groups from across the state of Tennessee who have dedicated themselves to the service of others within the field of rural healthcare.

  • May 19th - Appalachian Communities Opioid Response (ACOR) Summit. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time. Registration is $15. Mini-grants will be announced for prevention planning activities in East Tennessee. For details visit: www.appalachianopioidresponse.org

  • June 2nd - Maternal Health in Rural Tennessee The number of reported pregnancy-related deaths in the United States steadily increased from 7.2 deaths per 100,000 live births in 1987 to 17.3 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2017. Rural areas had a pregnancy-related mortality ratio of 29.4 per 100,000 live births versus 18.2 in urban areas in 2015. Join us June 2nd from 8:30am - 12:00pm Central time to discuss the status of maternal health in Tennessee and solutions to improve access to care and outcomes.
