Signs of Suicide Training for Parents and Guardians



Join RHA of TN during Mental Health Awareness Month in learning about the Signs of Suicide (SOS) for Parents and Guardians. SOS Training is presented by Fiona Hoehn, Mental Health Training Coordinator for Mental Health of America of the Midsouth. Fiona is certified to instruct Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), and Signs of Suicide.


This webinar is an hour-long universal suicide prevention training for parents and guardians that teaches them how to recognize warning signs of suicide in youths. Join us on May 16th at 11am CDT. Register here.

TennCare Renewals

Rural Health Association is ready to assist patients keep their TennCare Coverage! RHA trained assisters will be at Saint Louise Clinic in Murfreesboro each Friday in May and June from 9am – 1pm CDT; 1020 N Highland Ave A, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Anderson County and Clinton City Schools is hosting a family resource fair, which we are partnering to provide renewal support; May 11th 3-6pm Eastern Time; Clinton Community Center; 101 S. Hicks St.; Clinton, TN. 37716. Trained assisters will be available to help individuals determine if they are still eligible for TennCare and provide other helpful information. Can’t attend the event?   • SAMHSA Warns About New Illicit Drug Threat The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration alerted the public to the noticeable rise of xylazine, a non-opioid agent increasingly found in combination with opioids such as fentanyl. Known by its street name, “tranq” or “tranq dope,” the drug is approved only for veterinary use.. The overdose antidote naloxone does not reverse its effects.
