Naloxone Training Webinar

Join RHA and Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist (ROPS) Marissa Valentine for a webinar on Naloxone Training on June 27th from 11am to 12pm CDT.


Topics to be covered include the causes and impacts of the overdose epidemic, the impact of substance misuse on the brain, harm reduction principles, recognizing and responding to an overdose, and how to administer Naloxone.

  • TennCare Renewal Events RHA trained assisters will be at Saint Louise Clinic in Murfreesboro each Friday in June from 9am – 1pm CDT; 1020 N Highland Ave A, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. We will be available to help individuals determine if they are still eligible for TennCare and provide other helpful information. Can’t attend the event?   • Mental Health Equity and the Power of Self-Care This webinar on June 1st at 11am CDT will discuss inequities in risk and care for mental illnesses and the impact and intersection of trauma and racism.   • Congratulations to RHA Member Mathew Walker Comprehensive Health Center's CEO Katina Beard. Katina was recognized as a 2023 Nashville St. Jude Spirit of the Dream Honoree. These awards are presented to African Americans who embody the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children Research Hospital and its founder Danny Thomas.


  • Information for Critical Access Hospitals CMS's recent fact sheet includes the revised CAH location requirement relative to other facilities to include areas with only secondary roads available as well as the requirement to inform the patient or their representative of their rights before starting or ending care and establish a grievance process.   • Surgeon General Addresses the Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy released an advisory on the public health crisis of loneliness, isolation, and lack of connection. The advisory lays out a framework to improve loneliness based on six pillars, including strengthening social infrastructure and cultivating a culture of connection. Read more here.


  • All of Us Research Program This program is building an intersectional, multimedia engagement campaign that interacts with communities populating rural America.
