Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Invoices

We encourage our 2024-25 SHIP grantees to submit invoices for reimbursement to Megan Polster as soon as you are able. Because of many changes at the federal level, this will help ensure that funds are distributed as planned.

The American Heart Association’s Rural Healthcare Outcomes Accelerator offers eligible rural hospitals access to the platform, "Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke, Coronary Artery Disease, and/or Heart Failure" at no cost through 2027. Enrollment is open through June 30, 2025. For more information, inquire here.

Supports the development or expansion of sustainable PACE programs to improve delivery of comprehensive medical and social services tailored to the needs of elderly people in rural areas

Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Loan repayment funds to RNs and APRNs working in an eligible critical shortage facility or as faculty at an eligible school of nursing

National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program

Three loan repayment programs with increased funding for eligible clinicians, including an increase of 50 percent in the two-year award amount to $75,000 for full-time primary care participants

We celebrate graduates of the 2024-2025 Wisconsin Quality Residency Program, a 10-month program specifically designed for new quality leaders in health care. WORH is a shared sponsor of this program in partnership with the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) and the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC). Together, we build and deliver a curriculum to inspire and qualify Wisconsin's next cohort of health care quality leaders.
