The Future of Work is Diverse, Inclusive, Just and Equitable
GlobalMindED closes the equity gap by creating a capable, diverse talent pipeline through connections to role models, mentors, internships for low-income students, returning adults, First Gen to college and inclusive leaders who teach them, work with them and hire them.

Rx for Resilience: Redemption
The theme of redemption is strong in many classic Christmas stories this time of the year like It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol and even How the Grinch Stole Christmas (whose heart grew three sizes!)
A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens, was published December 19, 1843. Through the depth of the character development and detail, it is obvious that Dickens had a keen eye for human behavior in the midst of a very dark time. Readers of the story and/or viewers of the play are provided with a view of personal transformation - redemption at the most profound level - that aligns with the blessings of this season.
Dickens was born in 1812 and attended school in Portsmouth, England. His father, a clerk in the navy pay office, was thrown into debtors' prison in 1824, and 12-year-old Charles was sent to work in a factory.
Like so many people who begin working at such a young age, we are able to understand the transformation of Scrooge and the wishes that Dickens himself may have longed for every day he went to work. Through his writing and the power of the pen, he learned to find happiness that transformed the suffering and injustice he experienced.
“Reflect upon your present blessings - of which every man has many - not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”
We can often get busy, pre-occupied and distracted, taking our blessings for granted. It is impossible to be angry about the world when you are focused on the beauty that has been given for you to enjoy. Cultivating that is the true gift day in and day out.
May your preparation for this holiday lead to real happiness and a contentment you may have never known. And may we each carry the perspective of redemption and transformation above any and all challenges we currently face.
